  • Hormone Imbalance: Conditions that result in high levels of estrogen without enough progesterone increase your risk. This includes obesity, diabetes, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

  • Menopause and Age: It most commonly occurs in older adults, typically after menopause (usually around ages 50–60).

  • Menstrual History: Starting menstruation early in life or going through menopause later in life.

  • Never Having Been Pregnant: People who have never been pregnant face a higher risk than those who have.

  • Hormone Therapy: Using estrogen-only hormone replacement therapy without progestin after menopause
